LEADERS IN INNOVATION
Our innovative industry techniques bring our homes to the next level.

We Build Every Home to Step Code 4
What is the BC Step Code? Simply stated, it is a set of progressive energy-efficient standards for building practices in British Columbia, aiming to reduce energy consumption and move toward net-zero homes.

High-Performance Air Barrier Installation
Air barrier installation is a critical component of creating an energy-efficient building envelope. This process ensures airtightness by carefully applying a high-performance membrane that is tearproof and rainproof. The wrap provides permanent protection for the wall construction, preventing condensation buildup. All windows and doors are meticulously sealed to maintain optimal performance. To verify the effectiveness of the installation, a Blower Door test is conducted to measure the building's air tightness. Additionally, under-slab insulation is installed to further enhance the building's energy efficiency, ensuring that the entire structure meets the highest standards.

Highly Efficient Mechanical Systems
Our homes feature highly efficient mechanical systems designed to maximize comfort while minimizing energy use. Electric heat pumps provide both heating and cooling, ensuring year-round climate control with exceptional energy efficiency. For added flexibility, a high-efficiency natural gas furnace is combined with the system, offering an optimal balance of comfort and cost-effectiveness. The inclusion of an HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilation) system ensures continuous fresh air circulation while maintaining energy efficiency. To enhance indoor air quality, an air purification system is also incorporated. In addition, our plumbing system includes Navien on-demand hot water systems, further improving energy savings and convenience.

Structural Reinforcement
Structural reinforcement is key to ensuring the durability and stability of your home, and we prioritize this through advanced systems like the open web floor joist system. This process allows for easier routing of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems within the floor cavity. Unlike traditional solid wood joists, open web floor joists are made of a series of interconnected webbed trusses, typically using wood or metal, creating superior structural support. By using this innovative reinforcement method, we create homes that are both structurally sound and adaptable to future needs, ensuring long-term performance and safety.

Net Zero Ready
We build homes designed with the future in mind, offering energy-efficient features that enable homeowners to advance to net-zero energy consumption. These homes are built with reinforced roof trusses, prepped for the installation of solar panels, allowing for easy integration of renewable energy solutions. Additionally, electric vehicle rough-ins are included, ensuring your home is ready to accommodate the growing demand for electric vehicles.
We install forward-thinking features into every home, allowing homeowners to reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs over time.

Enhanced living comfort
BENEFITS FOR GENERATIONS
Homeowners will benefit from enhanced living comfort with improved temperature control and air flow, leading to lower energy bills and reduced emissions. Additionally, these homes offer greater durability against the elements, ensuring a longer lifespan and minimal maintenance.
